Border Regiment

The Border Regiment was an infantry regiment, formed as part of the 1881 Childers Reforms. When the First World War broke out, the two main battalions served at Gallipoli, in Italy and on the Western Front. Thirteen additional battalions were raised following in influx of volunteers.
