Kent Royal Garrison Artillery

The Kent Royal Garrison Artillery were formed in 1902, originating from the 1st Battalion of the Kent Artillery Volunteers Corps. The Royal Garrison Artillery were mobilised on 4th August 1914, marring the stations around the Kent coast, in particular the defences at Dover. (While most of the coastal defences in the county were never tested, those at Dover and Folkestone were both engaged during the 1914-1918 conflict.)
