Royal Scots Fusiliers

The Royal Scots Fusiliers infantry regiment was raised in 1678 and recruited in south-west Scotland. Both of the regular battalions rerved on the Western Front throughout the First World War. The regiment at this time had also raised eight Territorial and four New Army battalions. These served at Gallipoli, Salonika, on the Western Front and at home stations.
