Surrey Yeomanry

The Surrey Yeomanry was raised as a unit of the British Army forming as a volunteer Cavalry Regiment sometime in 1794 one of the many yeomanry regiments raised for defence during the French Revolutionary Wars.

During the First World War, the Surrey Yeomanry raised three regiments, serving on the Home Front, in France and in Gallipoli and Salonika.
