The Canadian Infantry were a number of battalions that made up the majority of the Canadian Expeditionary Force (CEF).
Formed in the First World War, the CEF fought in many of the major battles, including Ypres, Somme, Vimy Ridge and Passchendaele. Close to 620,000 men enlisted in the CEF, of which 60,661 died or were killed during the conflict.
