Dragoon Guards

The Dragoon Guards were a number of heavy cavalry regiments that have been in the British Army since the 18th Century. By the outbreak of the First World War, the Dragoon Guards regiments were the 1st King’s, Queen’s Bays, Prince of Wales, Royal Irish, Princess Charlotte of Wales’s, The Carabiniers and The Princess Royal’s. The regiments served primarily in India and on the Western Front.
