Royal Irish Regiment

The infantry regiment could trace its root back to the late 1600s. By the time of the First World War, the Royal Irish Regiment had swelled its ranks to ten regiments, serving on the Eastern and Western Fronts and on home soil. The regiment lost over 3000 soldiers in the conflict.
